BOARD AND MANAGEMENT MISSION VISIT IN NAROK COUNTY 2019
From 2nd to 3rd April, 2019. A part from just lending, AFC takes pride in walking with its clients from loan application processes to educating and guiding farmers on how to manage their farms and loans. It’s a journey that takes both the Corporation’s and the client’s commitment. AFC Board and Management visit-ed Oldonyo Nairasha Estates Limited in Narok County and Intona Ranch Beef Lot to inspect AFC financed projects and to understand the challenges they face in their farm projects. Oldonyo Nairasha Estates Limited majors in seasonal crop ventures on a 12,500 acres of which 11,877 acres are leased from over 332 farmers who do not have the capacity to till the land. The company also employs 60 staff while Intona Ranch Beef Lot majors in livestock production and has a capacity to generate 5,200 mature steers annually that are sold as live animals The Board and Management hailed the companies for embracing mechanization in agriculture and reaching out to smallholder farmers through provision of mar-keting services, maize drying, grazing lands, Weigh Bridge and warehouse.
